Period poverty is a significant barrier to education and dignity. Lucky Girl Pads, a social enterprise established by VacNet, works tirelessly to break this cycle by providing accessible menstrual hygiene solutions. In Uganda, thousands of girls miss school each month because they cannot afford sanitary pads. Some resort to unhygienic alternatives, while others stay home, falling further behind with each absence. For many, this leads to dropping out entirely, crushing dreams before they have a chance to take flight.
